Color and Style variations:

Catalyst features 6 body color styles and 10 header color styles that are independently configurable. There are also 6 preset theme combinations built in as well. Use one of the preset themes, or mix and match to create your own style.

The RokContentRotator Module Returns

The RokContentRotator module is another fine way to introduce snippets of your top stories in a seamless fashion. You can view this module in action on the frontpage of the Catalyst demo. A whole new look and feel have been added to give your content a great look.
RokSlide Powered Tabbed Modules Return

Harnessing the power and functionality of the popular RokSlide module, Catalyst offers the ability to present your modules in sliding tabs. Publish multiple modules into to a single tab module position as well as customize the titles that appear in each tab.

Organize large amounts of information in easy to navigate tabbed panes and reduce the clutter and space needed to display your content. By default, User8-12 module positions appear in the tabbed module pane. You can also add more module positions if needed.
The Exclusive RokMooMenu

Our highly popular exclusive menu is called RokMooMenu. This menu has been developed from scratch using the latest and greatest MooTools JavaScript framework. The RokMooMenu is a highly advanced and fully customizable menu system is accessible and degrades to a standard SuckerFish menu if JavaScript is not enabled or supported. Some of the great features include:

* Hover support for IE6 using the sfHover javascript class just like in Suckerfish.
* Fully degradable to standard SuckerFish menu if javascript is not supported.
* Configurable mouse-out delay to allow for accidental mousing out of the menu.
* Completely customizable animation effects using MooTools transitions. Can be configured in X and/or Y directions.
* Support for fade-in transparency
* Experimental support for IE6 z-index bug using the iFrame hack.

Menu Information

The exclusive RocketTheme menu systems in this template use the mainmenu by default and this menu is configured in the admin administator. For these to function correctly, understand that the ‘top level’ menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up below in a sub-horizontal menu when you click on a top-level item. An introduction to Rational Magic
Rational Magic comes with four color switch options including:

Blue, Peachy, Brown Green

Give your users the ability to change the sites overall colors from a simple switcher in the header. Users can change the site color on the fly, make the text bigger and smaller, and basically personalize your site to their tastes. If this much control for your users is not desired, it is just as simple for you to set the colors and sizes that you want everybody to use via a few simple changes to the template_options.php.

It’s all about choices.
Brand new menu system

We have implemented an entirely new menu system called SuperMenu. This menu is great because it combines all of the most popular menu systems into the template. We packed Superfish, Dropline, Suckerfish, Split and module menus all in one. This system also degrades gracefully when Javascript is switched off, allowing users who have older system to still be able to navigate your site. This menu system is also equipped with a time-delay on mouse-out which means your users won’t lose the menu because they weren’t quick enough or accurate enough in pointing.
60% Faster with CSS Compression and file Include

With modern websites, load times are going up respectively as the size, complexity and number of javascript and css files loaded into a page increase.

With Rational Magic we have implemented a method built into the template to do 2 very important things in order to help reduce the load speeds.

Compress (gzip) CSS and Javascript
We include a php script that first checks the server accepts this method, then it uses one of the php compression methods to reduce the size of the file for loading as well as revalidate the cache header.

Using php includes to minimize “http” requests to the server
The main focus here is to merge (on the fly) the css and javascript into single files in order to reduce the http requests. So instead of loading 6 css files, only one is loaded.

These 2 methods have shown us and increase of nearly 60% and we think it makes this an exceptionally fast loading template. This feature is built into the template and requires no setup, directly after install your visitors will enjoy enhanced browse speeds.
Module versatility at your fingertips

Intelli Modules Built in
This template comes with intelli-modules which calculate how much space they can take up depending on how many of them you publish. It can handle a maximum of 2 rows of three modules. What’s more Rational Magic has a fully collapsible top & bottom shelf. With this template there are over 30 module positions for you. Talk about options!

One thing we have learn over the years is that our users want control and the means to easily customize the template to their needs. That is why we have come up with this clever system allowing you mix and match your different module styles.
Express yourself through style, color, and layout versatility

Rational Magic brings a new dimension to layout flexibility using its flexible layout configurations that are available on a per component basis. This allows you to set a 1, 2 or 3 column layout for any component, not only that, you can even specify the ordering of the columns!

This allows you to change your sites layout, depending on the content that your users are viewing. For example, if you wanted your site to have a forum, but did not want the sidebar to be loaded when viewing the forum, you would simple set the configuration to com_fireboard = content. It really is that simple!
